Engineering Intern positions offer a variety of learning opportunities including basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, and integration. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you may be involved with any of the following activities: circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, assisting in component selection, assisting in schematic capture, assisting in FPGA designs, test, and verification.

Interns will typically support one (1) or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects, as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment

  • Some experience using Microsoft Office Products

  •  Familiarity with test equipment to assist in troubleshooting and debugging (e.g. Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, etc.)

  • Experience with FPGAs or CPLDs a plus, but not required

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

 Basic Qualifications:

  • You must be 18 years of age as of 5/31/19

  • You must be a US Citizen

  • Completion of at least one year of undergraduate engineering studies in an electrical engineering program

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate electrical engineering degree program
