Electrical  Qualification Engineer, Principal

We are looking for a highly technical Electrical Engineer who will be the technical expert to champion projects and represent Curtiss-Wright with standard bodies, industry association, customers and prospective customers!

You will be empowered to design, develop, implement and evaluate methods for testing and qualifying electrical components, systems, integrated circuitry for electrical equipment, and other hardware systems. Leads innovative projects to support product development initiatives. Participates in industry groups and efforts to advance such programs. Actively acts as mentor to Junior Engineers in order to build organizational engineering expertise.

Your Challenge:

• Lead critical projects for both internal research & development and external customer orders, working within the Engineering & Project Management Office
• Establish programs to ensure compliance with customer purchasing requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards & regulations. Determine design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying electrical equipment and systems. Anticipate and mitigate potential failure modes to improve probability of successful results.
• Design and conduct tests, collect data and interpret results, make sound engineering decisions, document analysis and write test reports. Draw conclusions and reconcile differences between predicted and actual results.
• Provide technical input on the generation of proposals for complex programs.
• Mentor and support development of team members.

Your Expertise:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field. Expertise in electrical system and components. Preferred experience in EMC testing and digital product validation.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar or complimentary role in relation to electrical engineering
• Demonstrated ability to apply sound engineering judgement to resolve complex technical challenges
• Understanding and experience working with applicable codes and regulations for the design and testing of electrical components and systems including analog and digital technologies
• Nuclear Industry (preferred) or other highly regulated industry experience required

Relocation and Remote Work:

We are looking for a Technical Expert! -- Relocation offered if required to compensate for moving expenses to Cincinnati OH. Remote work might be an option but not preferred.
