The Opportunity | Electrical Test Technician


As a Test Technician, you will attend to qualification and first article testing of rugged electronics enclosures and consoles for the Defense Industry. The responsibilities include creating test procedures, testing, data collection, and reporting results to others within the company. Upon test completion and validation, you will help to transition the product into manufacturing with work instructions, and test setups.


Major Accountabilities /Deliverables:



  • Test Design

    • Contribute to generating test procedures and specifications.

    • Support test/simulation hardware and software development.



  • Perform Testing

    • Coordinate with various test houses on test schedule and execution.

    • Serve as 901D onsite system matter expert for testing.

    • Acquire results in accordance with test procedures.



  • Post-test review

    • Review and interpret test results.

    • Communicate findings to cognizant engineers.

    • Contribute to test reports.



  • Transition to Manufacturing

    • Develop work instructions and harness fixtures to aid assembly process.

    • Define test cables and procedures to be used in a production environment..




Qualifications:



  • 2 years experience in a similar role

  • Familiar with instrumentation for harness testing, measuring equipment for temperature, pressure, power.

  • Knowledge of instrumentation calibration

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, dynamics, thermal, and fluid concepts.Understanding of data interpretation, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Understand and appreciate the values of Quality, Cost and Schedule.

  • Associates degree required.
