The Opportunity | Equipment Test Technician

Under direct supervision, the Equipment Test Technician performs preventative, routine and required maintenance and repairs on all machine tools and test equipment in support of manufacturing operations. Electrical and mechanical diagnosis is required to determine if tools and equipment are within operating parameters. Position may require urgent attention and responsive problem solving.

Major Accountabilities /Deliverables

  • Performs a variety of electronic, electrical, and mechanical or software troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning test equipment and automatic test equipment.

  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, electronic schematics, operating or repair manuals, and/or rough sketches or drawings.

  • Uses electronics test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.

  • Performs equipment modifications as directed by test/manufacturing engineers.

  • Maintains equipment database, calibration schedules and preventative maintenance schedules.

  • Performs all required preventative maintenance for tools and test equipment and ensures equipment readiness for production.


  • 5-7 years' experience in a similar role

  • Analytical and problem solving skills and a sense of urgency

  • Technical school or college preferred

  • Experience with LabVIEW is required

  • Must be a US Citizen
