The Opportunity | Expeditor

Under general supervision, monitors and performs the movement of materials throughout our outside processing requirements and interfaces frequently with our key Suppliers to expedite and insure on time deliveries of our orders and materials. Coordinate deliveries and pick-ups with our outside processing suppliers. Successfully manage your area to our 6S standards. Analyses data for possible process improvements.

Your Challenge:

  • Organize materials staged for outside processing in our area. Perform required review of all associated documentation of shop travelers and work orders and with accuracy sorts, moves and prepares parts for shipment

  • Manage courier requirements

  • Uses different tools available to track and monitor incoming materials on a daily/hourly basis

  • Represent SCT at daily Production meetings when required

  • Verifies accuracy of incoming material to drawings specifications and other requirements

  • Coordinates with Accounting to resolve any invoicing issues

  • Performs miscellaneous data entry and clerical duties as required

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned (managing universal waste and copier supplies/services)

  • Deliver and pick up materials via company pickup truck as needed

  • Handle the return of rejected and non-conforming materials to suppliers

Your Expertise:

  • Associates degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Solid written, communication and math skills

  • High accuracy rate with attention to detail

  • Prior experience with an ERP system and Microsoft Office is preferred

  • Ability to read and understand drawings.

  • Prior receiving experience including forklift operation.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Willing and able to lift 50+lbs.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment with continuously changing priorities is a must

  • Unload trucks when necessary
