The Opportunity | Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is responsible for general and/or cost accounting of Company with

proven skills in computerized accounting systems as well as MS Excel and Word.
Location: Mississauga, ON

The Challenge:

  • Ensure all work is performed according to the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Prepare and analyze all data pertaining to assigned projects.

  • Meet all key month-end reporting deadlines.

  • Participate in departmental and company project teams as requested.

  • Constantly look for ways to improve department processes and service to customers.

  • Follows every reasonable precaution to ensure work is performed following the Health

& Safety procedures. Immediately report accidents and incidents and participate in

their investigations.

Your Expertise:

  • Graduate from an appropriate post-secondary program and/or applicable work

  • Experience.

  • Must have or be actively pursuing a recognized accounting designation.

  • CPA designation is an asset.

  • A minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to project costing.

  • Previous experience in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Proficient with spreadsheets -- MS Excel is mandatory.

  • Flexible, multi-task person with high energy who enjoys and functions well in a fast paced

  • environment. Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines through

  • effective time management.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; team player with ability to build and nurture solid

  • relationships both internally and externally.

  • Well-developed analytical skills, paying strict attention to details.
