Horizontal Milling Machinist (Off-Shift)

Manufactures detailed parts from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment. Determines how to set up machines based on instructions received.

Location: Brecksville, OH

Your Challenge:

• Primarily set-up and operate horizontal machine centers to assure quality parts produced in a timely fashion. Also operate CNC lathes as needed.
• Able to perform complex setups with little/no assistance.
• Must read and interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Working knowledge of shop and machine safety procedures.
• Read and understand blue prints. G-Code/M-Code is a plus.
• Must use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and other measuring tools.
• Must understand basic application of various cutting tools.
• Must make basic edits to a program.
• Operate and setup hydro testing stands for required components.
• Flexible, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be willing/ able to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.

Your Expertise:

• 2+ years of experience with CNC Horizontal Milling Machines
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Technical/Trade School required. 
• Standing, Sitting, Lifting, pushing, pulling 50lbs.
• CNC Alpha experience is a plus
• CNC Mori/Seiki HMC (multi pallet) preferred.
• PC skills and Lift truck experience a plus.
• Must be available to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift.
