The Opportunity | Junior Manufacturing Engineer
The Associate Manufacturing Engineer interacts and supports the actuation Assembly and Test organization. The individual will receive direction from the Engineering Supervisor regarding methodology of manufacturing. They will be responsible for generating manufacturing methods and documentation, process improvements and for resolution of issues with actuator builds.
Your Challenge

  • Generates Operation Sheets, isometric assembly drawings/models, and digital build books to support all phases of manufacturing within the facility.

  • Designs and facilitates manufacture of necessary tooling and fixtures required to support manufacturing processes

  • Supports Assembly and Test to resolve non-conformances or procedural issues leading to work stoppages, and other manufacturing problems

  • Maintains all applicable manufacturing project documentation

  • Participates in all aspects of Continuous Improvement and Lean activities

  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor
Your Expertise

  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical documentation, including electrical wiring schematics

  • Ability to design process, tool and fixturing requirements for manufacturing, assembly and test operations

  • Ability to generate manufacturing documentation, graphics, figures and CAD drawings

  • Capability to analyze manufacturing and test equipment to efficiently implement solutions to solve production problems in a timely manner

  • Must possess the mental capacity to comprehend information provided daily and make own decisions

  • Current or anticipated B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline, or; Associates degree with greater than (2) Two years' experience in a similar position.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office

  • CAD/CAM experience in Solidworks is desired

  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean processes desired
