Curtiss-Wright is currently searching for a Junior HR Administrator (Contract) to support our North American Hourly Recruitment Team. This key role will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support as well as proactively sourcing and pre-qualifying candidates to build a robust talent pipeline for CW.


As someone who has great energy, fiercely committed, yet easily "goes with the flow", you will:

  • Coordinate and manage administrative functions of the hourly recruitment cycle: job postings, interview arrangements, assisting candidates with the application process, etc.

  • Manage the Canadian and US Background Screening process end-to-end for new hires, and provide real-time status updates to the TA Partners

  • Proactively source, cultivate and recommend candidates to the Talent Acquisition Partner for our hourly roles such as Assemblers, Machinists, Welders, Manufacturing and entry level roles

  • Track Candidate/Recruiting progress in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)


  • Proven success in sourcing and building a high volume pipeline of talent for a variety of industries and roles (primarily hourly manufacturing roles)

  • Strong Administrative and MS Office skills

  • Internal drive to meet sourcing and recruiting goals with high quality candidates

  • Advanced internet searching skills, with the ability to quickly learn new databases and software applications

  • Flexibility and ability to work with changing priorities, ambiguity and meet deadlines

  • Proven ability to quickly get up to speed and hit the ground running with a heavy workload

  • Customer service orientation and focus on providing the best possible candidate experience

  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrated urgency in completing all work

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills over the telephone or email

  • Previous experience in administrative support in a recruiting environment is required

  • Available for contract until May 2020.
