Job Description


Working to support our Process Improvement Manager, the Lean Technician will have the opportunity to cover the involvement in meeting core objectives linked to planning, developing, implementing and tracking of lean, continuous improvement & cost savings initiatives throughout the Industrial Division.


You will be passionate about making process improvements, have excellent attention to detail and be highly self-motivated to make an impact on the business.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Working within a team to help develop and support the future state "lean vision" for Industrial Division.

  • Commissioning and updating existing process to reflect new process or improvement activity.

  • Assisting with metrics, reporting the implementation and utilization of C-W Way initiatives and learnings

  • Working with and assisting Continuous Improvement Teams with improvement projects, and assisting with the team with the planning, scope, targets, timeline and milestones.

  • Promoting and sharing best practices from inside and outside of the business unit to achieve common and standardized lean manufacturing processes within the company.

  • Assisting lean events, including kaizen events, to drive continual improvement throughout the organization and to develop standard work procedures.

  • Ensuring lean manufacturing and flow optimization are inherently designed into new manufacturing processes or product launches, by working with the internal teams, as required.

  • Assisting cost savings program by working with departmental teams, multidisciplinary teams to identify, implement, and track cost savings on an ongoing basis for C-W cost savings metrics.

  • Embedding visual management systems throughout the business, to identify processes to clearly identify flow path, flow interruptions, and problem resolution status.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:



  • Lean Six Sigma qualification or relevant work experience

  • Understanding or willingness to progress through the qualification root of six sigma.

  • Must demonstrate strong verbal communication skills.

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills are required.

  • Must demonstrate ability to work effectively with others, and be a team player.

  • Must be a self-starter and be highly motivated.

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
