The Opportunity | Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all aspects of the general accounting function. The individual will be responsible for managing the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems either directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisors. This includes review and approval of journal entries, bank reconciliations, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, various accruals, etc. in accordance with US GAAP. They will also be responsible for maintaining processes and procedures to ensure that the system of internal controls are in place and operating effectively. The Accounting manager will also participate in special projects as necessary.

Your Challenge

  • Maintain accurate general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers as needed.

  • Supervise the accounting for fixed assets, various accruals and expenses, payroll, payable/receivables, etc.

  • Assist the organization in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, KPIS, budgeting, accounting, and variance reporting

  • Coordinates responses for external and internal audits.

  • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.

  • Ability to bring new insights and offer practical solutions to improve processes and procedures.

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required; a Master's degree in one of these disciplines is preferred.

  • CPA/CA/CGA/CMA designation is preferred.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.

  • Must be very comfortable with Microsoft Excel.

  • 7-10 years' of experience with Accounting.

  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing direct reports.
