Our Fleet Solutions group supports the US Navy aircraft carrier, submarine, and various support vessels repair work. They provide technical direction primarily associated with shipboard installation and overhauls of Curtiss-Wright and OEM partnership equipment. This unique opportunity will oversee the field service technicians working at customer locations domestically and internationally, as well as our in-house work at our Chesapeake, VA location.

Your Challenge

* Provide leadership guidance to the manufacturing group towards successfully achieving key operational metrics (quality, on-time delivery, EH&S, etc.).

* Drive cost savings through identification of process efficiencies, managing overtime and controlling usage of raw material and equipment / resource utilizations.

* Take ownership of coaching and developing manufacturing staff; providing cross-training initiatives that fosters an environment of employee involvement.

* Work proactively with management team to ensure that site efforts and project initiatives are aligned with business needs and strategic direction.

* Support and encourage a culture and an attitude with an emphasis on quality improvement

* Maintain a best-in-class facility by proactively monitoring maintenance & repairs of equipment/tools

* Monitor financial performance of department to ensure targets are being met.

* Assist and/or lead Program Reviews with customers.

* Champion change through the department to continually improve performance.

* Develop business cases for adding new capabilities to the business.

Your Expertise

* Bachelor's Degree in Business/Operations, Engineering or Financial Management.

* Minimum of 10 years repair/manufacturing experience with related leadership responsibility.

* Previous experience in the government aftermarket space is preferred.

* Thorough knowledge of production, manufacturing and systems operations.
