The Opportunity | Shift / Manufacturing Supervisor


The ideal candidate will be a contributing member of the daily shop and project team meetings to ensure team efforts provide all of the support necessary to keep manufacturing flow in the shop floor.



Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Supervise non-represented employees on the production floor for different shifts

  • Maintain compliance to business policies and procedures pertaining to safety, housekeeping and work habits.

  • Ensure the product is manufactured to specifications and procedures under the guidelines of verbatim compliance to work instructions.

  • Plans and coordinates work assignments in support of production plans. Develop and implement plans to eliminate work backlog and support achievement of balance workload.

  • Lead the area of responsibility in Safety, Rework reduction, Throughput improvement, lean manufacturing, 6S concept and quality improvement initiatives through the development, implementation and monitoring of leaders standard work.

  • Define and implement individual training programs based on the assessment of individual skills inventories.

  • Strong skills as a team leader and team building.

  • Ability to schedule and prioritize work based on production schedules and available resources.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

  • Able to communicate objectives and results to those below and above


Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or equivalent,

  • Minimum three years experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Engineering background is a plus.

  • Four year machinist journeyman graduate is a plus

  • Knowledgeable in Master Cam and CNC Machining is a plus

  • Basic computer skill with the ability to use Oracle.

  • Willing to work back shifts and/or weekends

  • Must be US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance and
