Curtiss-Wright Indal Technologies is for a Master Scheduler hiring in Mississauga Ontario (greater Toronto area)

The Opportunity | Master Scheduler

The ability to analyze and create a detailed program schedule in a non-repetitive job shop environment to ensure success and on time completion of the product.

Major Accountabilities /Deliverables

  • Reading and interpreting complex Engineering drawings

  • Knowledge of routings and Bills of Material

  • Able to review requirements and prepare a detailed program schedule

  • Ability to identify and follow the critical path activity of the program schedule

  • Identify and highlight potential risks/constraints to ensure the success and on-time completion of the schedule

  • Maintenance and updating the company overall Master Schedule to ensue target dates are met

  • Generates ETC (manpower capacity planning) monthly for all operations disciplines

  • Monitors actual hours spent on all projects including R&O and spares to budget and reports EAC

  • Works with Marketing and Sales to manage forecast for long range planning while considering lead times, production, test and equipment capacity

  • Liaise effectively with various disciplines as PMO, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Production Control, Vendors, Customers and Senior Leadership

  • Prepare detailed schedules for marketing/customer requests for future opportunities

  • Provide lead times for major orders i.e. R&O/ETC jobs

  • Ensure all work is performed according to the Quality Management System (QMS)


  • 5 years' experience in a non-repetitive job-shop environment working with hands-on detailed program scheduling

  • Experience in creating, managing, and executing weekly and monthly Master schedule to meet actual and forecast demand

  • Experienced with a full service shop environment including welding, fabrication, assembly, machining, painting

  • Experience in carrying out scenario analysis during critical situations and work closely with execution team while regularly monitoring and managing recovery plan

  • Experience with MRP Systems

  • Experience with manpower capacity planning, risk constraints and forecasting

  • Experience with Repairs and Overhaul

  • Strong skills in MS Word, Project software and Excel and in-depth knowledge of MRP principles

  • Exceptional people skills and ability to multitask effectively

  • Able to work with various department leads to meet customers delivery requirement and expectations

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • APICS completion plus appropriate university or college degree
