Material Handler

Under the direct supervision of the Logistics, Shipping & Receiving Manager, the Material Handler/Shipping & Receiving Associate verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Location: Monsey, NY

Your Challenge:

  • Move parts to inventory. Enter parts in Quick Base and check item master for current quantity in stock room.
  • Place newly received items under or behind existing stock to keep with FIFO.
  • Pack product for shipping.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
  • Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels at all times.
  • Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock-control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Performs any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Your Expertise:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing factory-related experience in shipping and receiving.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Forklift experience and Certification from an accredited school preferred.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
