The Opportunity |Planner

Under close supervision, the Planner plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle. They will work from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements. The Planner is responsible for coordinating production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.

Major Accountabilities /Deliverables

  • Develops and maintains detailed schedules, production plans and material requirements

  • Will coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Material Control, Quality and other departments to achieve optimum utilization of facilities in meeting production schedules.

  • Will input to management regarding scheduling and issues such as material shortages, design changes and backlogs.

  • Maintains all paperwork and releases to team as appropriate


  • 1-3 years' experience in a similar role

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.

  • Sightline experience is an asset

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • High school diploma required, college preferred
