The Opportunity | Plant Manager


In conjunction with the Division Manager, our Plant Manager manages and directs all daily manufacturing and operational operations at the site.


The Challenge



  • Manages and directs all plant operations, including safety, ecology, plant technical, manufacturing, financial, administration, plant equipment purchasing and plant maintenance.

  • Manages the preparation and spending of capital expenditure budgets and facility operating budgets. Manages all activities related to the purchasing of raw materials used at the site and the purchase of and acquisition of equipment required to maintain, expand or improve production at the facility. Supports the group technical, sales, and marketing needs of the business.

  • Manages all operations at the site including safety, environmental, waste minimization, plant technical quality, production, quality, maintenance, equipment purchasing, budget preparation, and general management for plant Provides leadership, training, performance management and direction to facility production, quality and maintenance personnel. Maintains an active working relationship with the business group marketing, sales, and research & development personnel and serves as the principal focus for those activities in site related activities and initiatives.

  • Responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient operation of the production department to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs.

  • Manages the production and quality areas in such a manner as to assure the manufacture and shipment of products which meet all required customer specifications and are shipped on a timely basis in order to satisfy customer needs.

  • Responsible for the managing the corrective action and/or performance discipline in all departments at the sit Disseminates all information relating to emergency situations to insure a safe working environment and any potential adverse effects on personnel and property are minimized both inside and outside facility property.


Your Expertise



  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience in leading and directing large groups of employees.

  • Ability to think and communicate strategically and conceptually at all levels of the organization.

  • Creative problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Adapt to changing priorities to meet changing demands; Adjust quickly to new responsibilities and tasks.

  • Minimum of 7 years experience with a background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.

  • Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervision / management level responsibility.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience of managing production in a manufacturing environment
