In conjunction with Technicians and Engineers in the Metallurgy Dept., section, mount and prepare metallurgical specimens using industry-standard equipment and tools. With appropriate chemical safety training, work with chemicals such as acids to etch specimens for microstructural evaluation. With appropriate training, perform basic metallurgical evaluations to improve the quality of preparation activities. Perform lab and equipment maintenance and housekeeping, including periodic preventative maintenance as assigned. Maintain a high level of quality and participate in ensuring a safe work environment
