The Opportunity | Process Engineer

The ideal candidate will utilize industrial engineering concepts, manufacturing operations knowledge and business acumen to partner with cross functional teams from production operations, engineering, quality, supplier management, materials management, and program management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives.

Location: Bethlehem, PA (greater Philadelphia area)

The Challenge:

  • We are looking for a dynamic thinker, problem solver, leader and change agent to drive culture change in a way that engages all employees positively.

  • Applies manufacturing/process Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis and decision tools under general supervision to promote and assist in implementing changes in manufacturing, engineering and service operations. Assists in developing models, data bases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, engineering economics), and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers (e.g., management, departments, suppliers).

  • Performs moderately complex analysis primarily utilizing Six Sigma concepts related to product design, manufacturing software, engineering projects

  • Guide team of continuous improvement practitioners to support business goals

  • Responsible for learn manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts to reduce rework and variation throughout the companies processes

  • Develop continuous improvement program to sustain operational excellence initiatives

  • Lead and motivate a culture of lean thinkers

Your Expertise:

  • BS Business Administration, and/or 4-6 years continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing/operations environment

  • Change agent, driving culture change in a way that engages all employees positively

  • Prior experience interacting with employees to gather data for process improvements, including observing, documenting processes, and collecting data in manufacturing areas.

  • Process modeling

  • Greenbelt certification (blackbelt certification, not required)

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)

  • Lean, Six Sigma experience, root cause analysis, value stream analysis

  • US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
