Together, they design and develop single board computers (SBC), graphics/video cards, networking modules, I/O and communication boards as well as multiprocessing (AV) including CHAMP, FPGA and HPEC products. Product Development Manager

In this role, you will take ownership for leading the development of our advanced multi-computing products from the requirements stage through production release. You will demonstrate leadership through your strong technical background, proven ability to manage high performing cross-functional teams and your ability to create and manage engineering milestones on time and within budget.

Location: Ashburn, VA

Your Challenge

• Manage a multi-site, cross-functional team that includes hardware, software and mechanical engineering, support, test and production
• Create, maintain and deliver to project development schedules and budgets
• Ensure adherence to Curtiss-Wright AS9100 processes
• Provide technical oversight of the engineering teams
• Define and manage work for subcontractors
• Engage with internal and external customers to gather requirements and deliver product solutions
• Participate as a member of the C5ISR-Ashburn leadership team

Your Expertise

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent mix of education and experience
• Minimum 10 years industry experience
• Proven team management skills
• A thorough understanding of hardware and software design processes
• Familiarity with design for manufacturing processes and techniques
• Familiarity with design for rugged environments
• Experience with the creation and maintenance of project budgets and schedules
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with the latest industry technologies, such as VPX, Gen 3/4 PCI Express, 40GE Ethernet, USB 3, DDR4 memory, etc. is a plus
• Experience with Intel x86 multiprocessor designs highly desired
• Experience with high-end FPGA design is valuable
• US person required, secret security clearance is a plus
