The Integrated Systems business unit, part of our Defense Solutions division and located in Santa Clarita, was established in 1985 as the center of excellence for hardware-level system integration and advanced package design. The Opportunity | Program Manager

Responsible for the performance of a relatively significant program or multiple programs in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Program area typically represents more than three functional areas. Also responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned programs and for supporting new business development by leading proposals.

Your Challenge

• Defines, launches, and drives mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives in core programs. Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways
• Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc
• Responsible for complex program management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting
• Defines, acquires, and allocates budget, staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish the goals and/or objective of the program group/function
• Exercises judgment and delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects/programs

Your Expertise

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering Preferred (or equivalent)
• 2 to 5 years related experience.
• Experience in strategic planning, competitive assessments, and bidding/acquisition of multi-million dollar contracts
• Experience in working with the Defense and Aerospace customer community and in serving as a principal point of contact to key military and commercial customers
• Strong interpersonal skills especially in team building/maintenance and customer relationships
• Technical and program leadership experience and familiarity with the Single Board Computer industry and integrated systems development are ideal
• Experience with customer communications, negotiations and proposal management
• Able to contribute to weekly and monthly strategic planning, plan execution and technology roadmap updates.
• Ability to keep team members focused on schedule milestones and objectives and must motivate team members to develop cost effective, customer-oriented solutions and approaches.
• Able to lead by action and example.
• Must be able to act independently and make decisions on administrative / operational issues affecting the success of this organization.
