The Opportunity | QA Engineer


Location: Middleburgh Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area)
Type: Full-time, Regular position


Under general direction, designs, implements and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products. Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma). May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.



Your Challenge:


  • Ability to develop, apply and revise quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.

  • Ability to review and evaluate in-process rejections, obtain dispositions and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ability to interface with customers, vendors and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information as needed.

  • Participate in audits.

  • Ability to provide technical support to inspection personnel as needed.

  • Prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.

  • Maintain a neat and clean work area.



Your Expertise:



  • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Quality)

  • 5 plus years quality assurance background with most recent experience in quality engineering capacity

  • Experience in setting up Quality Systems

  • Experience working with manufacturing products with strong electrical background

  • Experience in the nuclear industry, in particular with nuclear standards/systems is an asset

  • Internal Lead Auditor Certification preferred

  • Ability to effectively communicate with others

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office

  • Experience in Syteline

  • Display an understanding of the importance of product quality and compliance to health and safety procedures.
