Exlar, a business unit of the Curtiss-Wright Industrial division, designs, manufactures and sells a broad portfolio of precision electro-mechanical actuators for automation of machinery in global markets including defense, automotive manufacturing, energy and general industrial automation.

The Opportunity | Senior QA Engineer

Take responsibility for developing, implementing, monitoring and improving quality systems and procedures to ensure internal and external requirements are met. Take a lead role in investigating, reporting and resolving quality problems with products and services. Work directly with customers and suppliers as needed to address issues and arrive at mutually agreeable resolutions. Use a variety of measurement techniques, data collection methods and statistical tools to characterize and assess components and processes. Analyze reports and data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to requirements and procedures for continuous improvement.

Your Challenge:

• Find creative solutions to complex problems and work with others to get them implemented.
• Review reports and evidence of customer rejections and field failures to determine root cause and establish appropriate corrective action.
• Provide data analysis and recommendations to cross-functional product teams to resolve issues and drive improvement.
• Participate in internal, registrar and customer audits of quality systems to ISO9001 and other quality standards and requirements.

Your Expertise:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality or a related field
• 4-6 years experience in the quality field with most recent experience in a quality engineering capacity
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Extremely detail oriented
• Experience with machined parts and ability to read technical drawings preferred
• Experience with ISO9001 standard and quality system audits preferred
• LEAN/Six Sigma green belt certification preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office
