APQP / PPAP Coordinator

Curtiss-Wright's Sensors and Controls business unit are looking for a APQP / PPAP Coordinator to join us at our state-of-the-art facility by Bournemouth Airport, UK. Here, we design and manufacture flight critical parts for Commercial and Military aircraft and this is your chance to join us our successful team working with existing and also New Product Integration.

The successful candidate will be passionate and knowledge about Quality, enjoy partnering with customers to understand issues / performing joint investigations and want to work across all sectors including supply chain.

Location: Christchurch, Dorset, UK

Your Challenge:

  • Single point of contact for APQP/PPAP activities for specific project
  • Identify and communicate customer specific requirements to project team
  • Responsible for programme Quality KPI according to company and customer specific requirements (APQP, Phased PPAP)
  • Define the Project Quality Plan
  • Define the APQP communication plan with customer and establish a formal communication with the Process AQP & Project teams
  • Coordinate APQP Activities for the project in accordance with the Quality and Communication Plans
  • Assure the timely validation of the product and process through regular visit in plant , process release and Manufacturing Process Audit
  • Assure adequate support to the customer and to production in case of engineering changes and rework activities in preproduction phase
  • Coordinate, with Process APQP, all Product Part Certification activities (PSW 1,2,3)
  • Actively participate in problem solving process
  • Coordinate company Quality Operating System and perform internal audits to ensure compliance.

Your Expertise:

  • Practical experience of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
  • Practical experience in use of problem solving tools such as 8D reporting and six sigma
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to travel to client site as necessary
  • Background in Quality and previous automotive or aerospace industry experience advantageous
