Curtiss-Wright's Sensors and Controls business unit are looking for a Quality Engineer to join us at our state-of-the-art facility by Bournemouth Airport, UK. Here, we design and manufacture flight critical parts for Commercial and Military aircraft and this is your chance to join us our successful team working with existing and also New Product Integration.

As a Quality Engineer you will design, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution.

The successful candidate will be passionate and knowledge about Quality, enjoy partnering with customers to understand issues / performing joint investigations and want to work across all sectors including supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, applies and revises quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
  • Reviews and evaluates in-process rejections, obtains disposition and implements corrective action as needed.
  • May interface with customers, vendors and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.
  • Participates in audits.
  • Provides technical support to inspection personnel as needed.
  • May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.
  • Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.
  • Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
  • Assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma).
  • Prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree (or equivalent) educated within a relevant Engineering subject
  • Similar experience in a Quality role
  • Ability to travel (when restrictions allow) to customer sites
  • Must be familiar with AS9100 Rev. D. Standards
  • Familiarity in EASA Part 21 & 145 would be a bonus
  • Training in FMEA and GD&T a plus
