Job Description

This is a temporary position until June 30, 2019 working on our 2nd shift  - Monday - Friday, 3:30 pm - 12:00 midnight.

The Quality Control Inspector shall ensure that all products and material conform to, drawings, specifications, Curtiss Wright workmanship standards and contractual requirements. He/she shall provide support for both Receiving Inspection of raw material and Final Inspection of manufactured product. Additionally he/she will complete non-conformances reports when defects are found. The incumbent of this position will assist in providing for an environment, which fosters cooperation, initiative and self-motivation through teamwork and individual dedication.


The Quality Inspector will maintain an organised system for the handling of the following:

  • Product and raw material inspection

  • Inspection defect analysis reports

  • Certificates of Conformance forms (C of C)

  • Surveillance Inspection Reports, checklists

  • Quality Control Surveillance Reports.

  • Inspection Logs

  • All quality/ manufacturing documents for storage and retention if necessary

  • Ensure that inspection targets, quality requirements and schedules are maintained.

  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvements

  • Conduct surveillance inspections in the manufacturing areas to ensure compliance to manufacturing procedures.

  • Contribute to a healthy working environment through a positive attitude and constructive feedback.


  • Good communication skills -- spoken and written

  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Exchange)

  • SAP and EmQuality skills are an asset.


  • Technical Diploma in related field

  • 2 - 4 years experience in quality inspection of military electronic products

  • Certified IPC-A-610

    This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must meet eligibility requirements of the ITAR and of the Controlled Goods Directorate (CGD).
