The Opportunity |Quality Control -- Final Inspection (3rd Shift)



Your Challenge:



  • Responsible for the final inspection of products being shipped to ensure it meets Farris Engineering's quality procedures and the code requirements in ASME Section I and Section VIII, Division 1

  • Responsible for the inspection of products being assembled.

  • Perform in-process inspection of material and/or parts.

  • Interpret and work within the guideline of drawings, specifications, charts, procedures and other data to determine acceptance or rejection of materials or parts.

  • Prepare and maintain QC documents pertaining to material certifications and test reports.

  • Serve as liaison between sales, engineering and purchasing departments to verify customer requirements, and ensure documentation meets these requirements.

  • Quality department representative during third party inspections.

  • Provide general support of quality efforts.

  • Promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform quarterly process audits as assigned.

  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.



Your Expertise:



  • Final Inspection experience; familiarity and knowledge of Farris products preferred.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Proficient with computer data entry, record keeping, and data file maintenance. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

  • Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs; frequent standing and sitting.

  • Candidate that is hired will be required to pass ASME Certified Individual written exam as administrated online, by National Board. Must recertify every 2 years.
