The Opportunity | Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer 

We are seeking an outstanding individual for the role of Quality Engineer - CMM programmer. You will work with Operations, Program Management and Engineering to solve complex problems, advance continuous process improvements and develop effective corrective action using quality tools, such as FMEA, DOE, Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, and Gage R & R studies. Work with all pertinent regulatory, industry and customer agencies as necessary. Develop and validate CMM programs to support production and new product introduction.


Your Challenge

  • Write CMM programs from 2D prints and 3D models; support shop personnel as required while using these programs to validate product acceptance.

  • Investigate root cause and oversee the corrective action implementation of manufacturing, assembly, supplier and customer related discrepancies.

  • Responsible for implementing tools of Quality improvement such as Pareto analysis, Cause and Effect diagrams, check sheets, etc.

  • Responsible for interpretation of drawings and specifications required for production of quality products.

  • Review and approve manufacturing process instruction sheets and other manufacturing and quality documents.

  • Develop first article inspection requirements.

  • Become an established and active member of the material review board (MRB).

  • Be well versed in all aspects of the QMS, including the IQS system.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, Associates degree with equivalent experience, or CQE certification with 3 years' experience

  • 2-5 years related Quality Assurance Engineer and CMM Programming experience

  • Must be proficient with CMM programing using Calypso software, any experience with Zeiss CMMs a plus

  • Supplier auditing experience

  • Expert knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Ability to multi-task and transition between projects seamlessly

  • Exhibits pride in workmanship and quality, continuously pays attention to detail

  • Listens to and understands customer needs and requirements

  • Computer literate and experienced with word processing and spreadsheets
