The Opportunity | Quality Engineering Manager


The Quality Engineering Manager coordinates and directs the quality assurance strategies for all Farris facilities; ensures compliance to and attainment of necessary quality certifications. Participate in setting key company strategic objectives, related to Quality Management System.


Your Challenge



  • Facilitate implementation and maintenance of ISO Quality System and certification compliance at each Farris facility.

  • Function as the Management Representative for the ISO 9001-2015 QMS.

  • Ensure that products meet the specifications and quality standards established by customers.

  • Provides periodic reports and analysis to management on performance of Farris Quality System.

  • Coordinate efforts to drive Supplier Quality Improvement Program, vendor corrective actions and improvement.

  • Coordinate efforts to drive internal quality improvement programs and directs corrective actions.

  • Develops and implements quality improvement strategies including training programs to raise the performance of the quality personnel and the general workforce.

  • Assure departmental effectiveness by providing proven inspection techniques with adequate, accurate inspection equipment.

  • Provide guidance to Farris Facility Quality Representatives and facilitate implementation of "best" quality practices.


Your Expertise



  • BS/BA Engineering

  • 10 years' experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering related function including 5 years management experience.

  • Ability to function within a Lean Manufacturing organization.

  • Good communication skills.

  • ASME Boiler code knowledge required. Sections I, VIII, and IX desirable.

  • ISO 9001-2015 experience required.

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Lifting 20lbs

    • Standing

    • Sitting
