The Opportunity | Quality Management Systems Lead



As part of the Ground and Naval Defense business segment, the person in this role will help lead and drive a "quality culture" to ensure both customer satisfaction and compliance with overall company standards and performance expectations. Using proven skills in process improvement and prior experience in supporting and developing robust quality systems, business processes will be assessed, modified or developed, as needed, that strives for zero defect outcomes. Foundational experience in business process improvement, Six-Sigma, or similar process improvement oriented methods is critical in this role to support overall business objectives.



In addition, the role provides subject matter expertise in assessing, understanding and working with management systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100 or other SAE-based TQM systems. In support of business objectives in the "quote to cash" transactions of the business, including pre-sales review of customer quality requirements, contract reviews as it relates to quality objectives, and post-sale warranty performance and metrics.



Your Challenge




  • Assesses appropriate industry standards and certification requirements to maintain competitive position.

  • Develops quality plans, processes while modifying existing processes to achieve and maintain compliance.

  • Oversight to all "quote to cash" processes, including development, refinement and review of SOPs.

  • Contract reviews (IRT quality issues) for both purchasing and selling activities

  • Participates in and may lead audits

  • Champion and drive Business Process Improvement initiatives (e.g. CW-Way, etc.) for GaND business

  • Working with Engineering function, establishes design and engineering processes to deliver consistent high-quality output of work and deliverables (design standards, review processes, audit)

  • Support larger site and business unit needs IRT quality initiatives, standards and processes

  • Provides support to other quality functions as needed, which include incoming/outgoing inspection, supplier assessment, etc.

  • In conjunction with PMO and Sales teams, establishes proposal review processes ensuring high-quality responses to customer RFQs and proposals

  • Develop and maintain quality and customer satisfaction metrics and report out

  • Identify and support Quality goals & objectives for STRAP




Your Expertise


 



  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Quality or related field

  • 4-6 years' experience within a quality assurance background with most recent experience in quality engineering capacity

  • Proven experience with multiple quality standards including ISO-9001, AS9100 and SAE

  • Experience implementing quality strategies and process for industrial business

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Exposure and experience to US gov't contracts and processes (FAR/DFAR)
