The Opportunity | Sr. Sales Support Specialist

Provide technical inside sales support to external sales team and business unit (BU) customers, delivering responsive pre-sales and post-sales support to help organization achieve revenue growth and customer satisfaction targets. Possess exceptional customer service skills and be a proactive problem solver with a drive for excellence, and self-starter. Key responsibilities may include supporting RFQ responses, product quotes, RMA/expedite requests, order status updates, and customer conference calls and/or customer meetings with internal stakeholders. Members of the sales support team are the primary contact when our sales team needs assistance in supporting our customers.

Your Challenge

  • Communicating with external customers/sales team and local business unit staff (Bids/Product Management/Supply Chain/Production/Engineering/Tech Support) through email, phone, and face-to-face visits to faciliate product line selection, sales quotes, and processing of customer purchase orders, order status updates and RMA requests.

  • Support pre- and post-sales activities between business unit and external sales staff, customers, distributors, and manufacturer reps located in various territories, including review of customer requirements, responding to technical questions, providing input for proposals/quotes, resolving customer concerns, and managing customer expectations.

  • Representing business unit during customer conference calls with occaional travel to customer sites/industry events for meetings and/or product demonstrations, establishing strong relationships and enhancing long-term partnerships.

  • Supporting order management desk (OMD) team in processing new orders and RMA requests

  • Periodic review of sales pipeline/forecast with sales team to validate sales forecast accuracy

Your Expertise

  • High School or Equivalent is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • 4-6 years' relevant experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Good composition and writing skills, including proofreading & editing.

  • Technical aptitude.

  • Demonstrated passion for excellence in providing the best customer experience.

  • A team player, cooperative, a person who easily gains trust and supports peers.

  • Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Action oriented and enjoys working hard/smart.

  • Excellent work ethic and professionalism.

  • Strong interpersonal skills working within all levels, sales group, team and other departments.

  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel & Outlook.

  • Be willing to travel, if needed.
