The Opportunity | Senior Compensation Analyst


This position is responsible for supporting executive compensation activity for the Corporation as well as broad-based compensation in the Curtiss-Wright business units assigned, including salary and incentive plan administration, market analysis, and compensation program development, and is accountable for the integrity of related data maintained in the Human Resources Information System and vendor systems. He or she will consult with management and HR staff at various global sites on compensation issues and initiatives, and will serve as the company-wide lead on assigned projects and processes, which include compliance initiatives and developing and delivering compensation training to various audiences.



Your Challenge



  • Serve as executive compensation analyst for the Corporation, performing executive market analysis and research for the Board of Directors, preparing Executive Compensation Committee materials, and completing the compensation discussion & analysis (CD&A) tabular disclosure.

  • Serve as the plan administrator for our long term incentive plans, including stock based and cash based programs, working closely with our vendor and our Finance team to track and report outstanding grants, grant activity, taxation, forfeiture, mobility, and employee communications.

  • Conduct compensation program assessment, developing project plans, coordinating market research, completing impact analyses and transition timelines, creating and delivering communications and training, and guiding implementation and ongoing maintenance.

  • Prepare and present sound recommendations to senior management with respect to compensation programs, areas for improvement, and emerging trends to assist in decision-making that support business strategy.

  • Evaluate and analyze compensation practices and propose adjustments to base and incentive pay structures and administrative processes.

  • Partner with field locations to administer compensation programs aligned with Corporate policy. Handle inquiries from field locations, interpret company policy, and government regulations, and provide solutions to compensation-related issues.

  • Coordinate the use of annual and sales incentive plans with the business units ensuring Corporate requirements are met.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and international laws to ensure programs and plans meet statutes and requirements.

  • Conduct the due diligence for acquisition targets with respect to compensation issues; develop and help implement the approved compensation integration strategies and plans.



Your Expertise



  • Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of compensation experience

  • Thorough knowledge of executive compensation principles

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive market pricing studies

  • Strong ability to make effective presentations to a variety of audiences both in person and via webinars

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to apply consultative skills in a business environment

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, macros)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

  • Quality orientation and careful attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong HRIS skills; familiarity with ADP Enterprise preferred

  • Familiarity with compensation practices outside of the U.S preferred

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) preferred.
