The Opportunity: Senior Component Engineer


The Senior Component Engineer will provide technical support to the Electronic Design group in the parametric search & selection of electronic assmebly components


Responsibilities



  • Sources, selects, and qualifies a wide range of components used in the company's technology

  • Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies of diverse scope, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability

  • Acts as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources

  • Develops guidelines/procedures on vendor selection. Evaluates supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed

  • May maintain component data management system including qualification records/results/documentation


Experience Required



  • Bachelors degree or equivalent

  • 4+ years experience in Component engineering is required

  • Knowledge of electronic assembly components is required

  • Strong oral, written communication, organization, and presentation skills are required

  • Knowledge of MS Office

  • Experience with GIDEP & IHS tools would be an asset

  • Problem solving and analytical skills are required

  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines
