Senior Marketing Data Analyst - Remote

Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions is seeking a growth-focused Senior Marketing Data Analyst to play a critical role in supporting our growing Marketing and Sales teams. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be an instrumental contributor, building out programs and processes within our marketing technology stack to support the company's growth objectives.

The Senior Marketing Data Analyst will be a key contributor to the success of our sales and marketing teams by developing well-structured processes, analyzing performance, using data to drive sales and marketing decision-making, and reporting results within the organization to support our annual business growth targets. Further this position will manage our marketing automation tool and execute demand generation campaigns on behalf of the product marketing team. This role will consult with sales and marketing to effectively leverage our tech stack and provide day-to-day support for the sales and marketing teams while partnering with key internal resources to execute campaigns and define metrics, dashboards, and reporting.

We're looking for a full-stack Senior Marketing Data Analyst and Automation Manager, one that has a passion and curiosity to uncover insights and efficiency through data analysis, while also having a keen interest in uncovering new trends and evaluating new technologies to support the strategic growth.

You will be diving into a wide scope of sales, marketing, and financial data to help us make the right decisions while also using those insights to improve our marketing automation. B2B experience in electronics, defense and/or aerospace technology, or a similar field is required.

Location: Remote within the USA or Canada

Your Challenge:

  • Expertise with Qlik SaaS BI tool or similar system to consolidate data from all our marketing sources into a central location and design and build insightful dashboards for teams and stakeholders to stay on top of their most important metrics and initiatives
  • Interpret and present/report actionable data insights that will drive revenue growth, improved ROI, customer retention, marketing effectiveness, and profitability
  • Bring experience to drive new data insights and identify new data sources
  • Develop quantitative analysis, tools, ad hoc reports, and models to support marketing decision making
  • Gather information and examine web traffic, social media metrics, marketing campaigns, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system data and design and create reports for a variety of stakeholders
  • Collaborate with different teams to provide data insights and recommendations for optimization towards marketing goals, campaign ad spend, and campaign funnels across digital channels
  • Deliver high-quality, actionable advice through face-to-face and video-based presentations to leadership
  • Educate and support teams with strategies on how to connect data to results
  • Rigorously monitor metric performance and proactively point out new trends or flag potential issues
  • Establish, maintain, and improve upon processes in marketing automation tool, Pivotal CRM, and any other tools in our technology stack to ensure best practices in campaign and lead performance
  • Transform data from dissimilar systems
  • Be the in-house marketing automation expert for all marketing email communications, initiatives, and troubleshooting
  • Set up and perform day-to-day system maintenance and configuration, driving improvements, and employing best practices for the broader marketing team to leverage when executing integrated campaigns
  • Work with stakeholders to create and implement testing strategies, including A/B multivariant testing, that maximize conversions
  • Manage email deliverability and compliance with privacy and data management laws
  • Lead the execution of marketing emails, including monthly newsletters, product announcements, invitations to online and in person events, operations/customer support notifications, and nurture promotions
  • Analyze, interpret, and report on marketing email performance, trends analysis, and other metrics
  • Work cross functionally to build and measure the success of new campaigns and automation as needed to support email marketing for product launches, sales promotions, subscriber webinars/events, etc.
  • Build and optimize segmentation and email content personalization strategies by leveraging user behavior/intent, activity data, industry, and demographics
  • Identify ways marketing automation can increasingly support overall business objectives, specifically on new business opportunities and maximizing revenue
  • Responsible for marketing automation database accuracy, cleanliness, and ensuring marketing automation tool functions within tech stack, including managing lists, opt-ins, and opt-outs
  • Responsible for data synchronization between marketing automation and Pivotal, as well as marketing automation and our Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions website, identifying issues with the synch process, data mapping, etc.

Your Expertise:

  • B.Sc. Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or business-related majors
  • 8+ years of relevant experience delivering marketing intelligence and analytics solutions role
  • 5+ year in a marketing automation role, preferably with marketing automation B2B marketing embedded hardware/computing experience
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into business insights
  • Strong understanding of SQL based databases (one to many relationships), preferably Pivotal CRM
  • Ability to think strategically when analyzing and interpret market and customer data
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data and hands-on expertise in data modeling, custom reporting, and dashboard design as well as developing creative solutions to apply business logic when conventional methods are not available
  • In-depth understanding in applying data analytics to decision-making, driving experiments, A/B testing, predictive analytics, and AI/ML tools for business insights
  • Subject matter expertise in data-driven marketing and personalization
  • Strong business and financial acumen as well as analytical skills
  • A knack for identifying and investigating anomalies in data and operations
  • Familiarity with marketing funnel reporting and industry critical metrics, such as website sessions, MQLs, pipeline, and bookings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
  • 4 - Experience working cross-functionally and influencing others
  • Expertise in using all Microsoft products, especially Excel for pivot tables, graphs, advanced function commands, and macros
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Some international travel will be required
