The Opportunity | Regulatory Compliance Engineer 

As the most senior staff will guide junior staff to work to implement a segment of policies for various phases of local, state and federal regulatory activity to ensure compliance with mandated regulations. Requires experience in radiation protection, environmental protection, safety and hazardous waste management in a manufacturing environment. Specific in-depth knowledge of environmental and radiological requirements and related health effects is required. Understands compliance programs, policies, procedures and processes and how it relates to others and the business.

 Major Accountabilities /Deliverables 

- Serve as the point of contact for a variety of Curtiss-Wright service customers both domestically and abroad

  • Maintain customer relationship

  • Ensure that each customer is utilizing Curtiss-Wright's suite of tools effectively

- Provide insight on NRC releases and actions to a variety of Nuclear Utility service customers in written and verbal form

- Offer in-depth consultancy services related to the NRC licensing and inspection processes both remotely and on customer sites

- Act as the lead interface and coordinator for client user groups

- Develop and deliver training on multiple aspects of regulatory licensing and compliance

- Represent Curtiss-Wright on industry-facing committees and task forces related to NRC regulatory and compliance issues

- Author key publication articles


- Bachelor in Nuclear or Chemical Engineering or Physical Science or equivalent experience

- Seasoned Regulatory and Compliance Engineer with Domestic Nuclear Utility Experience prefer 7-10 years of experience

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Organization and presentation skills

- Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines
