The Opportunity | Senior RF Test Engineer


The Test Engineer is responsible for the introduction of newly RF developed products into full production. This involves working with design engineering to develop design verification test plans, software test plans, and acceptance test procedures and develop automated Test Software, design and coordinate the procurement of test equipment and cables for newly developed products and existing products. Test Engineers also support production line flowing. The Test Engineer must be capable of multitasking and efficiently utilizing Engineering Technicians to assist workflow.


Major Accountabilities /Deliverables



  • Experience developing programs with Visual Basic, VB.NET, LabVIEW, and Python etc.

  • Experience creating design verification test plans for RF systems and circuit cards per product specifications.

  • Experience creating acceptance test procedures for RF systems and circuit cards per product specifications.

  • Experience creating qualification test plans for RF systems per product specifications.

  • Ability to design cables for production test stations.

  • Be proficient in gathering, processing, and analyzing RF signals in the Microwave and millimeter wave domains, both CW and Pulsed, using various measurement instrumentation (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, and Frequency Counters etc.)

  • Ability to work with Personal Computers and software tools.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio.

  • Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical RF engineering principles.

  • Ability to take ownership of a project with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to multitask with multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a team environment with a diverse group of development engineers, test engineers, and technicians.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Education



  • Experience with automated test station hardware design, specifically switch matrices and various communication protocols (LXI, GPIB, IP... CAN bus).

  • Experience managing and prioritizing test efforts to meet schedules a plus.

  • BA/BS in Electrical Engineering required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of test engineering
