The Opportunity | Sr. Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst/Accounting position is a key role within the Finance and Administration function. Supports the financial reporting for all business units and division, including developing applicable budgets/forecasts and analyzing ongoing contracts/programs. Compliance with GAAP and corporate policies. Act as liason with internal and external auditors

Your Challenge

  • Prepare and analyze month-end financial reports; reviewing for accuracy or omissions, reporting findings to management and alert management to significant variances to plan and forecast. Perform ad-hoc reporting and studies as required including cost volumes for proposals.

  • Process and maintain general ledger, profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements, and payroll systems. Assist in developing plans including budgets and forecasts.

  • Assist in documenting and updating accounting policies and procedures. Analyze processes and procedures to expose any information useful in improving operating efficiencies.

  • Responsible to adhere to compliance requirements for applicable regulations, internal controls and Corporate policies and procedures. Coordinates, resolves, and ensures financial compliance with regulatory agencies.

  • Provide in-depth financial analysis, interpreting results and making recommendations to management.

  • Perform month-end close related activities, including reviewing periodic journal entries.

  • Provide assistance in audits, as needed.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required

  • 5+ years' of accounting/finance experience

  • Knowledge of FAR and DFAR requirements, would be great

  • Experiece with SAP BPC and adaptive desired

  • Prior experience with an ERP system along with experience in Manufacturing environment is a plus

  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, work independently, and possess strong technical and analytical skills

  • Strong project management skills, with ability to establish action plans, handle multiple tasks and priorities, and meet deliverables on time

  • Adaptable to change and willingness to learn and handle new or evolving assignments

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office, expert in Excel

  • Works well independently requiring minimal supervision
