The Opportunity | Sr Sales Manager - Aerospace or Military

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Business Development, the Sr Sales Manager will work with minimal supervision to market company product lines to military, civilian, domestic and international clients. Present business opportunities for management approval and assist in preparation and presentation of formal proposals to potential clients. Develop new business in assigned areas and provide input into strategic business plans prepared by the Director.

Location: Mississauga, ON

The Challenge:

  • Analyze opportunities and formulate business plans to support proposed activities and create action plans for implementation.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to make presentations to potential clients on both technical and commercial aspects of company product lines.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to promote company products
  • Participate in the generation of complex proposal in response to customer requests
  • Position requires significant worldwide travel, often at short notice.
  • Foreign language skills would be considered an asset.

Your Expertise:

  • University degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
  • 10-15 years' experience in Sales, Marketing or related customer-oriented field 
  • Experience selling electro-mechanical systems to the commercial/Industrial/defense industries
  • Previous Military or Aerospace Sales experience 
  • Experience selling products internationally is an asset
  • Excellent skills in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must meet eligibility requirements of the ITAR and of the Controlled Goods Directorate (CDG) and/or a Canadian government security clearance.
