The Opportunity

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting the Global Planning and Sourcing functions with development of one time / re-usable analysis, tools and cost models. Tasks will be performed using Infor LN (ERP), SCM Planner, Excel, Access or other analysis tools and databases as required.

Your Challenge

  • Learn and understand data structure in ERP (Infor LN) and outside planning system (SCM Planner).

  • Develop and execute re-usable, 'mass' data download queries and reports from the ERP system to feed analysis processes and regular forecasting process.

  • Translate business analysis requests into 'management-level' reporting and summaries.

  • Write SQL, VB or other related programming language to enable repeatable analysis

  • Build and utilize 'supply chain flow-path' cost / Optimization models

  • Learn and document existing queries (SQL, VB code) to support change requests to key excel reports.

  • Create / enhance analysis tools and reports used by planning and sourcing

  • Develop 'super-user' level understanding of Infor/LN and SCM Planner, Forecasting Tool (TBD).

  • Perform tactical and mass-system updates to Infor/LN, SCM Planner as required.

  • Develop strong understanding of the business, supply chain and planning processes.

  • Develop and maintains critical business process documentation, standard work and flow-charts.

  • May be involved with process improvements and/or other special projects when assigned.

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, IT or related discipline.

  • 3+ years of combined experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization.

  • Career-growth oriented.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access or other database software.

  • Demonstrated computer programming skills (SQL, VB, etc).

  • Strong understanding of MRP concepts and processes.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and writing).

  • Experience with MRP, purchasing, and production planning systems such as Infor LN, SAP, JDA, etc.
