The Opportunity | TEST ENGINEER (Contract)

Location: Gastonia/Shelby, NC

Design, build, program and commission test stands for electromechanical actuation components and Systems. Develop and execute environmental test plans and procedures for aerospace actuation components and systems. Writes or assists in the development of test plans and procedures. Works with project engineering to meet program deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Your Challenge

  • Assist with the design and fabrication of test stand for various motors, actuators or electrical devices.- for aerospace

  • Work with engineers to develop and modify test procedures

  • Troubleshooting products as required

  • Perform tests and analysis as needed

  • Coordination and support of all activities relating to outside Test Lab service Suppliers

  • Test Stand Operating Procedures and Readiness Reviews

  • Preparation and submittal of test data and subsequent specific Lab reports

  • Troubleshoot/Debug the operation of test stands

Your Expertise

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in electrical engineering technology

  • Three to five years' experience with Electro-Mechanical devices and related test lab activities

  • Understand and interpret electrical and electronic technical documentation

  • LabVIEW Certified and experience with NI test equipment preferred

  • Schematic reading, use of digital oscilloscope and other electronics lab test equipment

  • Must be experienced at integrations of various test equipment to make complete test stands

  • Experience with reading and debugging LabVIEW and Test stand code

  • Strong technical writing skills required

  • Experience with aerospace industry and military standards, customers, and requirements preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

  • CAD software knowledge is desirable
