The Opportunity | Test Engineer


Curtiss-Wright is looking for a Test Engineer to join our Shelby, NC facility of Curtiss Wright is a part of the Industrial Division. We produce design and produce Actuators for the Aerospace market. The Test Engineer designs, develops and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. The successful candidate prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and completes specifications and procedures for new design capabilities.


Your challenge:



  • Performs a variety of routine and semi-routine tasks related to the testing of raw materials, manufactured products or manufacturing processes.

  • Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devides.

  • Writes and designs test procedures.

  • Reviews and evaluates test failures, in-process rejections and trends, recommending corrective actoin as appropriate.

  • Provides assistance in the areas of predictability, manufacturing processing, equipment and process improvement.

Your expertise:



  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in design or manufacturing engineering

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite

  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications

  • Knowledge of basic electronic and mechanical assembly principles

  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines

  • Familiarity with aerospace materials and processes is a plus
