Corporate Tax Accountant

As a Tax Accountant for Curtiss-Wright, you will be working with the tax team and providing support pertaining to all aspect of US tax laws and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to take your Tax Accounting experience to the next level and make a difference with a large organization! This position will give you the opportunity to broaden your accounting skills, and you don't have to worry about being pigeonholed!

Your Challenge

  • Work with the Corporation's U.S. and multi-national business units as needed, including:
  • Preparation of Federal 1120's and Schedule M-1 adjustments.
  • Preparation of State & Local Income & Franchise Tax Returns
  • Preparation Forms 5471
  • Preparation tax journal entries
  • Assist with tax provision calculation
  • Working on various miscellaneous tax department projects.
  • The preparation of various tax provisions work papers and various tax journal entries.

Your Expertise

  • College Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 2 to 3 years' experience working in a tax department
  • Corporate tax experience is required
  • Preparation of Federal & State tax returns utilizing tax software
  • Knowledge of Federal and State tax returns
  • Broad knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax laws & regulations
  • Record of sound judgment and decision making
  • Ability to work within teams and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
  • Customer focused, highly detail oriented, and adaptive to change
  • Strong computer skills, including experience using CorpTax software.
