Manufacturing Engineer

Under general direction, the Manufacturing Engineer performs various analyses, design and/or assembly related to manufacturing or industrial engineering projects. They will develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. They will also be required to Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Additional responsibilities include estimate manufacturing costs, determining time standards and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.

Location: This job requires at least 25% travel up to 50%. Candidates ideally would be near one of our 4 Robotic locations (Charlotte NC, Indianapolis IN, Cincinnati OH, and Harford, CT)

Your Challenge:

  • Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products and conduct reducibility review of engineering drawings prior to release.
  • Performs various operational or methods analyses related to labor standards and reviews product/project flow data, equipment and labor requirements for use in conducting manufacturing operations, increasing productivity and reducing production unit cost.
  • Assists in the evaluation of engineering changes and/or other specifications requirements and performs as technical liaison with other engineering personnel such as program management, finance, design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production.
  • Establishes Manufacturing process flow and work instruction. Create and update manufacturing standard procedure, which defines specific manufacturing processes.

Your Expertise:

  • Six months to 3 years of experience with manufacturing engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
  • Strong interpersonal skills with get-it-done attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
