Manufacturing Engineering Specialist - Box Build

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Support team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences and processes used in the test and repair of complex electronic modules and assemblies. This role will also be supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team in factory wide initiatives relating to production test, product movement, material control and statistical techniques.

Location: Kanata, ON

Hours: Day shift 

Your Challenge:

  • Evaluate new equipment technologies and processes used in the test and repair of complex
  • electronic modules and assemblies
  • Analyze manufacturing and test data for trends
  • Document repair process steps
  • Provide training and certification for manufacturing and test operators
  • Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing processes

Your Expertise:

  • Superior mechanical and technical abilities
  • Skills in analyzing, judgment and decision making
  • Knowledge of current test and repair processes/technologies
  • Experience using analytical tools to identify trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, technologist diploma, or equivalent with a 5 - 8 years' experience in an electronic/electro-mechanical manufacturing environment

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
