Our Dayton, OH site is part of our Defense Solutions division, and more specifically the System Solutions group. This group is comprised of the following business units: Parvus, VDS, Data Solutions and Integrated Systems. Together these business units develop a range of aerospace and defense systems including networking systems, mission computers, video management systems, data recording and storage systems as well as 3U VPX solutions + SMS-684, HPEC + Core SCC solutions, and avionics.

Office Administrator - Part Time

The Office Administrator will provide specialized support to relieve executive and administrative duties to support the business. Assignments may be found in various functional areas including, but not limited to: Finance, HR, Sales, Supply Chain Management, and/or Manufacturing. Work assignments are confidential and complex in nature, where considerable judgement, tact, creativity, technical skills and initiative are required in all activities.

Location: Fairborn, OH

Hours: Part time, up to 30 hours per week

Your Challenge:

  • General HR contact as needed. Keep employee files and assist when requested from site lead and HR Director
  • Maintains good working relationships with non-P.O. suppliers and vendors.
  • Coordinates company events and VIP visitors to the facility.
  • Prepares confidential reports, presentations, memorandums, proposals and correspondence for senior management.
  • Schedules appointments, meetings and travel for senior management.
  • Takes and transcribe minutes of meetings.
  • Organizes activities between multiple departments and outside parties.
  • Coordinates the company receptionist activities.
  • Contacts company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information.
  • Processes and files various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc.
  • Conducts new hire orientations/ ID Badges.
  • Provides information to employees on matters pertaining to their personal employee information.
  • Coordinates Leave of Absence.
  • Coordinates benefit services including onsite wellness screenings, service awards, and various benefit reimbursements.
  • Provides other administrative and secretarial duties as determined by senior management.

Your Expertise:

  • Associate's degree in a business related field, preferred.
  • 4-6 year administrative/secretarial experience.
  • Payroll processing background preferred. Knowledge of ADP a plus.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite skills; Word, Powerpoint, Excel
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and handle complex admin tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and understanding of confidential nature of daily tasks.
