RF Engineering Technician
The RF Engineer Technician is responsible for the introduction of newly developed RF products to support the integration and acceptance testing of electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, and systems for use in Missile Systems, Aircraft Flight Test, and Launch Vehicles. This involves working with test engineering performing design verification tests, assist developing Acceptance Test Procedures and run through, support qualification tests, design and coordinate the procurement of test equipment and cables and train production technicians in the use of each procedure. The RF Engineering Technician must be capable of multitasking.


Your Challenge: 

  • Perform design verification test plans for RF systems and circuit cards.
  • Assist test engineering creating acceptance test procedures for RF systems and circuit cards.
  • Support qualification test inhouse and at outside labs for RF systems.
  • Ability to design test boxes and cables for production test stations.
  • Solid understanding of electrical RF technology.
  • Be proficient in gathering, processing, and analyzing RF signals in the Microwave and millimeter wave domains, both CW and Pulsed, using various measurement instrumentation (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, and Frequency Counters etc.)
  • Ability to take ownership of a project with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask with multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to work in a team environment with a diverse group of development engineers, test engineers, engineering technicians and manufacturing technicians.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Expertise:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of RF.
  • Experience with automated test station hardware design, specifically switch matrices and various communication protocols (LXI, GPIB, IP... CAN bus).
  • Experience managing and prioritizing test efforts to meet schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Viso, Acess, and Visual Basic.
  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Technology preferred.
