Senior Quality Inspector

Location:  Santa Clarita CA

We have an exciting opportinuty for a Senior Quality Inspector.

As the Senior Quality Specialist you will ensure that all products and material conform to, drawings, specifications, Curtiss Wright Controls workmanship standards and contractual requirements.

You will provide support for both Receiving Inspection of raw material and Final Inspection of manufactured product. Additionally you will complete non-conformances reports when defects are found and  assist in providing for an environment, which fosters cooperation, initiative and self-motivation through teamwork and individual dedication.

Your Challange:

• Reviews inspection/test failure and rejection reports to identify project failure trends and provides recommendations for corrective action.
• Assists Qualtiy Engineering and Quality Inspection in the development of inspection plans.
• Provides assistance to inspection personnel in the identification and resolution of problems encountered during hardware flow to ensure acceptable quality levels are maintained.
• May perform actual inspection (including NDT) when required
• Performs system and process audits.
• Perform NDT using methods to examine material or systems with out impairing it future uselfulness
• Procicient in the interpretation of complex engineering drawing, schematics and process plans
• Supports the receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) of incoming and/or finished products to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and purchase order.

Your experpertise:

• IPC-610 Certification
• Ability to read electrical drawings and Inspect parts and assemblies per drawings and applicable standards.
• Able to interpret and read engineering drawings, company and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.

• 4+ years of related experience in a mechanical inspector role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical/Trade School preferred.
• Ability to set-up and program CMM's.
• Basic and intermediate math skills (geometry and trigonometry); Software and Computer literate
• Understanding of GD&T.
