The Opportunity | Export Analyst
Your Challenge

  • Prepare export documentation for shipments via air, ocean and ground. (CERS/CAED/B13)

  • Arrange transportation for shipments via air, ocean and ground

  • Arrange pickup along with import documentation from various suppliers internationally

  • Approve freight and broker invoices

  • Apply for, process, and report on Export Permits

  • Arrange for pickups/shipments via internal dispatches for local and International shipments

  • Liaise with freight forwarders and apply for Commercial Bill of Ladings (CBLs) or Government Bill of Ladings (GBL)

  • Obtain proof of delivery for all shipments
Your Expertise

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Business system experience.

  • Export and Import regulations, Letters of Credit and Export Permits

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Experience in INCOTERMS

  • Experience in assigning Harmonized Tariff Codes

  • Experience in Mil-spec packaging/labels (2073)

  • Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines

  • Ensure dangerous goods packaging & documentation is in accordance with regulations

  • Submit receiving reports where needed for DFAS/Canadian Commercial Shipments

  • Registered users of various government websites

  • Experience on WAWF, SIR, CAVs, and EXCOL an asset

  • Previous work experience would be adequate, although an appropriate certificate or diploma would be considered an asset.
This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must meet eligibility requirements of the ITAR and of the Controlled Goods Directorate (CGD) and/or a Canadian government security clearance.
